Student
OBservation
We care about working with students now as an investment in the future of our profession.
Feel free to book multiple, consecutive 1-hour observation slots! We offer up to 5 total observation hours per discipline.
Illness & Cancellation Requests
If you are not feeling well please prioritize your recovery and the health of our TEAM — simply cancel your calendar booking and reschedule for another time.
Holidays and Inclement Weather
Holidays and inclement weather may impact availability. If you are unable to attend your scheduled observation due to inclement weather you may cancel your observation and reschedule. Similarly, if we do not have availability due to inclement weather we’re happy to reschedule.
What to Wear
We ask that you present yourself professionally. Please ensure your attire is clean, neat, and appropriate for a clinical environment. Our therapists often wear clinic T-shirts and sweatshirts with long pants or scrubs.
Avoid: heavy perfumes or scents due to allergy risks, tank tops, halter tops, or muscle shirts; bare navels or transparent shirts; clothing adorned with foul language or images; torn clothing or clothing with holes; articles of clothing that expose cleavage, midriff, or buttocks; short skirts or short dresses (more than 2” above the knee); shorts; sweatpants; indoor ball hats or bandannas; lip or tongue rings; ear tunnels.
Upon Arrival
Free off-street parking is available. Please reserve the spots closest to the building for our families unless you require a handicap-accessible spot.
When you arrive, please check in at the front desk, where you will review our HIPAA privacy practices and receive a name tag. Please keep your name tag visible throughout your visit.
During Observation
Please keep all cell phones and media devices stored away and out of sight for the duration of your observation.
Protecting our families is our top priority. Please do not take any photos or make audio or video recordings of any kind while on our campus, including in the clinic, lobby, or parking lot.
Returning to Observe
In most instances, we offer students up to 5 hours of observation per therapy discipline. This is to allow more students opportunities to observe while also maintaining a 1 on 1 observer to therapist ratio. Because of scheduling needs, we understand that students may not be able to observe 5 hours in a single observation day.
