The American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) shined a national light on Children’s Therapy TEAM’s Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) Program in its April edition of The ASHA Leader.

Children’s Therapy TEAM’s AAC Director, Lynsey Lobdell, MS, CCC-SLP, shared a first-person account of her journey with a young TEAM child named Kylee. Her work with Kylee inspired the development of Children’s Therapy TEAM’s Regional AAC program.

The vision of the AAC Program at Children’s Therapy TEAM is to go the extra mile in offering extensive support for the family members and the cadre of professionals involved with caring for each child using an AAC device.

Since the founding of Children’s Therapy TEAM’s AAC Program, children throughout Northwest Arkansas have gained new access to the empowering communication tools needed to communicate in a manner that others can understand. This can make a life-changing impact on children and their families.
