Olympic fever has filled our clinics over the last several weeks. Our excitement continues as we look forward to the Paralympics in Rio in September. Beyond the thrill of cheering on TEAM USA, TEAM kids have competed valiantly in their own right. With a range of competition events, there were opportunities for every child to shine at something. Even kids receiving speech therapy have had opportunities to complete in events such as:
- Sports Reporting focusing on articulation, inflection and eye contact.

- Rapid Naming
- Retell Challenge
- Charades of Olympic Sports
- Picture Identification

Combined events for Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy included:
- Prone Prop
- Push-Ups
- Sit-Ups
- Shot Put with Weighted Balls
- Distance Rolling
Occupational Therapy events included:
- Target Shooting
- Tennis Ball Throw
- High Bar based on how long a child can hang on a monkey bar
- Crab Walk Dash
- Prone Scooterboard Dash
- Gripper Stacking
- Rowing on a Scooter Board using Poles
- Scooterboard Butterfly
- Parallel Bars and Tricep Push Ups
