I am the proud mother of two amazing children (Steven age 17 and Lacey age 15) and two amazing step-children (Samantha age 10 and Nicholas age 8). Last year I married the love of my life. My son ,Steven, has severe autism. For years I ran a 40 hour a week Applied Behavioral Analysis program under the supervision of behavioral psychologist Dr. Richard Eyer (Tulsa, Oklahoma). I am insistent on active parental involvement and intensive intervention! I believe that therapists are only the guides to help parents understand all that is required in the habilitation or rehabilitation of their child's speech and language skills. In 2006, I attended the Son-Rise Program for one week (The Autism Treatment Centers of America in New England) and feel that I offer families a balance of strict behavioral therapy combined with more playful, child-centered approaches. I have a heart for the Hispanic population and am committed to serving families in this area who may need help navigating a system that is difficult to understand even in English. I love, love, love working at Children's Therapy T.E.A.M and feel like I am part of the greatest therapy center in this area! The children's happy smiles and progress are the evidence!

I love kids and helping them communicate! Children with special needs and their parents are my heroes! I love watching kids become successful and do such amazing things here at TEAM. I was married in 2009 and I have a niece and nephew that I adore. I love playing with kids, talking, reading, baking, shopping, NYC and traveling. I also traveled with a group of therapists from Children's Therapy TEAM in April 2010 to Ukraine to work with children with special needs. The trip was life changing and the children in the orphanages with special needs hold a special place in my heart.

I have a 14-year old son, Zachary, who is an excellent artist and musician. We have an Italian Greyhound, Sadie, who enjoys napping with me and being the baby of the family. I love to travel, read, go to concerts, and spend time with family and friends. Keith Urban is my all-time favorite musician, and I'll travel multiple times a year to see him. Given that I work with several Ukrainian adopted children and their amazing parents, I have a love for therapy mission trips. I accompanied some of our therapists on a mission trip to Ukraine in March 2009 and again in April 2010, and plan to return on future trips. I love "my" kids and their families, and I love my job! T.E.A.M. rocks!!

Helping kids communicate is one of my passions in life. I enjoy teaching skills to the children and training the families on how to help their child. The field of speech pathology is ever-changing which keeps me on my toes. It is fun and challenging to go to courses to continue learning and educating myself on new therapy techniques, philosophies, and approaches. It is so rewarding to see and hear kids improve their ability to communicate with others in their environment.
