In addition to Kim’s work as certified Speech Language Pathologist at Children’s Therapy TEAM, Kim also serves as Adjunct Faculty at the University of Arkansas Speech and Hearing Clinic. There she supervises graduate students and treats children and adults with a variety of needs including speech and language, literacy, and augmentative communication. Kim has a vast range of experiences and expertise. She has a passion for early language and loves creatively incorporating play into her therapy sessions. Kim has personal insight into the transition families make when children with special needs grow into adults. Through helping care for her own adult sister with special needs, Kim and her family have become very involved with several special needs support communities in NWA. It was through this engagement and through care for her sister that initially inspired Kim to pursue her degree in Speech Language Pathology.

Kim received her Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology from the University of Arkansas in 2009. She utilizes both Scottish Rite and Orton Gillingham methods with literacy clients. Kim is trained in the Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS Level 1) as well as Kaufman Apraxia Treatment methodologies. Kim participated in the Rite Care Biennial Conference in St. Louise, MO in 2014.
