Pediatric Occupational Therapist

Kelly Langham joined the Children’s Therapy TEAM family in 2011 after earning her Masters Degree in Occupational Therapy from Rockhurst University. Kelly was nominated by her fellow colleagues for a TEAM Impact Award in 2018, as she is well known for her wholehearted service to others. She continues to be recognized for the positive impact she makes at Children’s Therapy TEAM and particularly her modeling of servant-leadership.

Servant-Leadership in Action

Reflecting on Kelly’s integrity, a Children’s Therapy TEAM colleague shared, “Kelly is always going above and beyond what is required. She never expects any recognition for it. Kelly strives to do the right thing, regardless if anyone is watching or not. She is always truthful and conducts her practice in a way that is always ethical and kind.”

At Children’s Therapy TEAM Kelly has spearheaded events like TEAM Water Week and TEAM Olympics. She often finds herself coordinating events because she enjoys helping kids address therapy goals in fun and affirming ways. As a resource coordinator, she designs and equips treatment environments so therapists can readily access materials.

Kelly has served as a TEAMworks volunteer both locally in Northwest Arkansas and internationally. She has provided occupational therapy care and training internationally in clinics and villages served by TEAMworks. One of the trainings she has offered included a lecture on “Cost Effective Motor and Strengthening Activities” at the Universidad del Valle de Guatemala. She has also served as past chairperson for the TEAMworks Heroes for Kids 5K Race.

A Heart for Pediatrics

Kelly has a knack for finding creative, engaging approaches to working with children. She notes, “I do it because I love seeing my kids get motivated and make progress.” During Kelly’s occupational therapy studies at Rockhurst University, she initially developed a love for pediatrics. Kelly was inspired by her work with children at Operation Breakthrough in Kansas City. This service, in addition to clinical work with children in schools, confirmed Kelly’s commitment to pediatrics. Kelly continues to enjoy working with children today and delights in finding ways to connect with each child.

Personal Notes

Creativity is Kelly’s gift both at the clinic and at home! She enjoys crafts and even some crochet. Her reputation for being crafsy is well earned. When not crafting, she enjoys training for races on local trails. She loves the small town feel of Northwest Arkansas.
