After graduating from the University of Mississippi at Oxford (M.S. 2015), Maggie Roberts worked as a Speech-Language Pathologist at Bonnie Grimes Elementary in Rogers, Arkansas. There she enjoyed providing language, articulation, pragmatic, and fluency evaluations and offered therapy to a diverse group of children. In seeking a clinic-based treatment setting, Maggie learned of Children’s Therapy TEAM’s reputation as being the “best of the best” among clinics in Northwest Arkansas. She receiving her Certificate of Clinical Competence through the American Speech and Hearing Association in 2016 before joining Children’s Therapy TEAM. Throughout college, Maggie combined her love of working with children and her enjoyment of horses. She worked as a children’s counselor and wrangler (summers, 2009-2012). She also volunteered with therapeutic riding programs serving children with special needs. Maggie gained valuable clinical treatment experience through competitive internship placements in speech-language pathology. As an intern at Miami Children’s Hospital, Maggie provided diagnostic assessments and treatment to children ages three to eighteen with autism spectrum disorder, Down Syndrome, feeding and swallowing disorders, developmental delays and cleft palate. At the University of Mississippi’s Speech and Hearing Clinic, she conducted articulation, cognition, language, fluency, and pragmatic evaluations for individuals of all ages. In graduate school, Maggie’s research focused on the effects of Picture Exchange Communication Systems (PECS) and speech-generating devices in children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (2014). Maggie is training as a Level 2 Practitioner Certified through the Professional Crisis Management Association. She has also completed Level 1 Training for the Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS).

Maggie’s enjoys being outdoors, hiking with her golden retriever, playing tennis, soccer or exploring the Razorback Trail on her bikes. She enjoys college sports, especially football games. And, given her husband Andy’s work with the University of Arkansas Athletic Department, she has plenty of opportunities to enjoy college football.
